On Saturday, October 14, Paul Fessler from the Longview Neighborhood in Rock Island returned to Broadway to teach a workshop on historic window repair. Several old home enthusiasts from Broadway, Longview, and beyond learned about the proper tools, materials, and techniques required. The videos on this page provide a sample of this workshop. Be sure to sign up for the next one, and don't replace your original windows! They will easily last for another 100 years if properly maintained and repaired, while new vinyl windows will need to be replaced in 15-25 years and will not look nearly as nice as the originals.
